The Forest Service is making Ashley National Forest the place to be with multiple
Flaming Gorge programs being offered this month. The Ashley National Forest Heritage
Team is making a presentation on the evening of August 18th at the Lucerne
Campground Loop C. Come view artifacts and learn how to throw an atlatl. The next day
on August 19th there will be an opportunity to get up close and personal with Slithery
Snakes with Branon Rochelle of Alpine Reptiles. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and be
ready to touch a snake. Finally, there will be Stargazing with Telescopes on August 25th
at 8:30pm at the Bootleg Amphitheater on Highway 191 across from Firefighters
Campground. The event is being put on by volunteer astronomy enthusiasts. Keep up to
date on events by following Ashley National Forest on social media.
