The heavy rainfall on Wednesday has prompted the Duchesne County Road Department to close several roads for public safety. Lower Red Creek Road, Sam’s Wash Road, and Strawberry River Road, all south of Highway 40, are closed as of Wednesday night. “These roads will remain closed until county road crews are able to clear them and inspect them for damage,” shares the Duchesne County announcement. “Please avoid the area for your safety and for the safety of road crews and first responders.” Duchesne County Road Department Director Ben Henderson shared that Lower Red Creek was out of its banks. Henderson also said that as of Wednesday night the Camelot/Strawberry Pinnacles area had not been accessed so an update was not yet available.
