Many of the state’s reservoirs are at below average water levels while Flaming Gorge is staying high and strong. According to the Bureau of Reclamation report update on September 10th, Flaming Gorge is still at 92 percent of its live capacity. Daily average releases are set at 2,000 cfs. Flow into Flaming Gorge Reservoir during the month of August was only 47 percent of average but still kept the reservoir above 90 percent of capacity. The Bureau of Reclamation reports that the forecast for September is 78 percent of average, October is 83 percent of average, and November is 104 percent of average.
