An empty space in one of the main shopping centers in Vernal will soon be filled by a national chain store. Highland Capital representatives shared with Evans Family Media that a brand new 15,000 square foot ‘Five Below’ store is signed on to fill a space in the Diamond Mountain Shopping Center at 1180 West Highway 40. This means it is joining the center with Cal Ranch and Maurices in the place where Bealls used to be. There is still a 4,500 square foot and 7,399 square foot store space available in the Diamond Mountain Shopping Center. The first ‘Five Below’ store opened in Pennsylvania in 2002. By 2019 there were 150 stores open nationwide and just 3 years later that number jumped to over 1,200 stores. The company’s tagline is “cool stuff $1 to $5 & beyond”.
