‘Fishing With The Fox’ Contest: Don’t Miss This Step!

by | Jul 2, 2020 | News | 0 comments

‘Fishing With The Fox’ offers the thrill of catching tagged fish for the chance to win big prizes but some participants are skipping a crucial step required to qualify for the drawings in August. The Division of Wildlife Resources needs you to drop off or mail in your tags and registration ticket before August 2nd in order for your catch to count. This step is crucial as it verifies that the anger actually caught the fish they say they have caught. So far only 64 out of the 135 registrations have turned in their tags and tickets. Tags are registered online and then the tag and registration ticket must be dropped off at the DWR Office in Vernal or dropped off at Stewart’s Market in Roosevelt. The tag and ticket could also be mailed to the DWR Office at 318 North Vernal Avenue in Vernal. Tagged fish have been released into Moon Lake, Matt Warner, and Moose Pond. The prize drawing will happen August 6th at the park in front of the Uintah County Library. A new grand prize has been added this year, a fish that has been tagged worth $5,000 dollars. For more information, visit the event on Facebook and tune in to 98.5 The Fox.
