Safety is a must when it comes to having fun with fireworks. Here are safety tips from the Utah State Fire Marshal: Only adults should light fireworks. Keep matches and lighters away from children. Only use fireworks outdoors. Only light one firework at a time and get away quickly as soon as it is lit. Keep children and pets away from fireworks and always remember – do not throw fireworks or hold them lit in your hand. Also be sure to only use legal fireworks and only in legal locations. Fireworks are prohibited on all state parks and state or federal forest lands. Make sure to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.
