It’s the time of year to let freedom ring in celebration. Of course this means enjoying fireworks for many in the Uintah Basin but don’t get ahead of yourself. First of all, fireworks are prohibited on all state parks and state or federal forest lands. The only legal time to discharge fireworks in Utah for the upcoming holiday is July 2nd through July 5th from 11am to 11pm with July 4th extended to midnight. Class “C” fireworks go on sale June 24th and stands will be open through July 25th. As you prepare for the fun, remember to store fireworks out of children’s reach and make a plan for a location to discharge fireworks safely when the time comes to legally discharge them.
