Firefighters responded to a fire at an oilfield location north of Duchesne
on Thursday morning
. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, no injuries were reported and one house in the area was temporarily evacuated as a precaution.
At 12:15pm
, Fire and Emergency Management Director Mike Lefler reported that Duchesne and Altamont firefighters were working to extinguish pockets of residual heat at the fire located near 6000 South and 19000 West. Flames were no longer visible at that point. By

, the homeowner who had been evacuated was allowed to return home. More information will be shared once available.
