Fire Quickly Smothered at Uintah County Landfill

A fire Sunday night at the Uintah County Landfill stirred up plenty of concern on social media but thankfully was quickly under control. Uintah County Landfill responded to an email about Sunday’s fire sharing that it looked worse than it was and didn’t turn out to be too big of a deal. Landfill employees learned of the fire about 10pm and were able to head to the landfill and use a bulldozer to smother the flames. Once smothered, the bulldozer was used to spread it out and protocol was followed to ensure the situation was handled properly. Local firefighters also responded to the call to be sure the fire did not get out of hand but thankfully the bulldozer had it out pretty quick. The cause of the fire was not shared.
