A fire affected travel on Highway 191 in Duchesne County on Sunday. A UDOT traffic alert was issued just before 2:00 pm on September 15th, stating that a fire was affecting both directions of the roadway at Mile Post 291, about three miles south of Duchesne City. Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office shared an update at 6pm that, according to the Uintah Basin Interagency Fire Center, the fire was contained to three-quarters of an acre on private land and by that time was out. The fire remains under investigation and as of Sunday night no cause had been shared.
