It’s the final two days of the Hotel Vernal Haunt which means the effort to scare up donations for local charities is at its peak. Actually, for those that have no desire to be scared for a good cause, there are two final opportunities to visit the Haunt during the light of day for the Un-Haunt on Friday and Saturday from 3:30pm to 5pm. Regardless of which tour you choose, all of the proceeds benefit local charities. “Over 200 volunteers make the event possible by donating their time, talents and resources so the charities can be granted as much as possible,” shares event coordinator Quinn Bennion. “This year’s Haunt charities are Brody’s Fund, Thompson House of Hope and Addicts II Athletes.” Brody’s Fund assists families with expenses related to miscarriage and infant loss, Thompson House of Hope is a residential recovery program within the Uintah Basin, and Addicts II Athletes are a group of former addicts who replace negative habits with positive activities including service in the community. Come enjoy a last chance to have some Halloween fun while supporting these charities. The Haunt starts at 6:30pm each night and tickets are available online or at the door.
