Felon Arrested On Firearm Charges After Allegedly Shooting At Children’s Feet

A disturbing accusation led to the arrest of a convicted felon in Duchesne County last week. Police were told that suspect Jason Curtis Blair had shot at a child’s feet, barely missing the child. Blair has previous felony convictions and is a restricted person that should not be in possession of firearms. He was out on bail for an arrest on February 1st for Public Intoxication and Aggravated Assault. A search warrant was executed on February 15th and Blair was located leaving the residence in a vehicle. He was ordered out of the vehicle and was detained while the search warrant was executed on the 5th wheel trailer Blair and his girlfriend live in. Inside the trailer deputies found a loaded assault rifle propped against the foot of the bed and a loaded .44 magnum handgun on the side of the bed. A loaded 9mm handgun was also located in the console of the vehicle. Blair was transported to Duchesne County Jail where he was booked on 3 counts of Felony Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Restricted Person and Driving on a Denied License.
