On Saturday, December 14th, at 2:16pm, Utah Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 6 at Mile Marker 184. According to UHP, a black Kia Soul was traveling East during winter conditions. The driver of the Kia Soul lost control of the vehicle, spinning into westbound lanes. A white Kia Sportage traveling westbound in lane one struck the Kia Soul pushing it into lane two of the westbound lanes. A white Kia Telluride traveling in lane two of the westbound lanes struck the Kia Soul head-on. During the impact of the second crash, the backseat passenger of the Soul, who was unrestrained, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene. The driver and front seat passenger of the Soul sustained injuries and were both transported to a local hospital via ambulance. Multiple occupants of the Sportage had minor injuries and were transported by ambulance. The two occupants of the Telluride sustained minor injuries and neither were transported.
