Applications will be reviewed by the FSA and loans are based on the extent of losses, security available and repayment ability.  The main purpose of the Farm Service Agency is to provide loans to aid producers in recovering from losses due to drought, flooding and other natural disasters or quarantine. In addition FSA offers a variety of additional programs to aid in recovery from disasters, some of which do not need a disaster declaration to apply. For more information, farmers should contact their local USDA.
