Family unity will be on display as part of the summer reading program at the Roosevelt
Branch Library this year. Families are invited to work together to create a family flag to
display during a Parade of Families at the summer reading kick-off party next week. The
flags will then be displayed in the library throughout the summer. All you need to do is
come to the library by June 1st during open hours to pick up a poster board to be used for
your flag that represents your family. Only 1 flag will be allowed per family and all are
encouraged to make it original. The flag can be no larger than 14 by 22 inches. Of course
no vulgar or obscene language is allowed and no violence can be depicted. The Parade of
Families will be on June 3rd at 5:10pm during the party. All ages can sign up for the
summer reading program.
