The decision to use a false identity eventually caught up to a woman arrested this spring in Uintah County. On April 17th, a woman contacted central dispatch to say that while taking care of other citations with Pleasant Grove Justice Court, she was informed that she had recent citations from Vernal City for possession of drug paraphernalia but that she had never been to Vernal to commit any such crimes. The officer’s investigation revealed that a photograph taken of the woman at the driver’s license division that month did not match the images from body and dash cameras of the woman arrested in March in Vernal. After obtaining a fingerprint match, along with forged signatures at Uintah County Jail, it was found that 27-year-old Kessha A. Huff had given police a false identity to portray herself as the other woman. She is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Forgery and Misdemeanor Providing an Officer with False Information.
