Travel delays can be expected through the Myton Bench construction on Highway 40. Traffic is down to one lane in each direction from 6250 South to Ioka Junction. This allows for crews to work and trucks to enter and exit the construction zone. The highway is also scheduled to be reduced to one lane in each direction near Pole Line Road this week. The speed limit is reduced to 55 miles per hour through the entire work zone and travelers are urged to slow down and drive safely. The work is split into three main sections. From 6250 South to 4000 South crews are placing material for a new road base while a new water line is being installed near Cobble Hollow Road. From 4000 South to Ioka Junction earthwork is being leveled out where future eastbound lanes will be built. From Ioka Junction to Pole Line Road heavy equipment is digging existing soil for future lanes while utility work continues. Once complete, Highway 40 from 6250 South in Myton to Pole Line Road in Roosevelt will be widened to 5 lanes including two travel lanes in each direction as well as a center turn lane. There will also be 10-foot shoulders in each direction.
