James Lawrence, President and CEO of evLABS in Vernal, visited the Newstalk KVEL studio on Wednesday morning with a significant announcement. evLABS has signed a 5-year exclusive agreement with The Box Truck Network to provide them with both new and repowered electric trucks which will include the Class 6 electric truck called the ‘CurrentT’ and an electric delivery van called the ‘Thunderbolt’.
“We are very excited to have this relationship with the Box Truck Network,” shares Lawrence. “This relationship gives us the opportunity to be of service to the 4,000 members of The Box Truck Network with our product offerings.”
The companies that will benefit most from this alternative are those that do both local and regional work. The CurrentT is ideal for carriers but is also a great alternative for shippers who utilize box trucks for local deliveries.
The Box Truck Network is unveiling the Box Truck Convention in May 2023 and plan to show off the new EV product from evLABS. While there isn’t a sure date just yet, Lawrence also shared during the interview that evLABS is planning on a Grand Opening during the first quarter of 2023.
