The annual Mayor’s Walk at the Uintah Community Center is a favorite local event while celebrating Halloween and in case you hadn’t heard, this year there’s some big changes. Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion shared on Monday that the Mayor’s Walk will be in downtown Vernal this year! “The Mayor Walk is the traditional safe community trick-or-treat event,” shares Bennion. “This year, Main Street will be closed to traffic and Halloween fans can walk the stores downtown hunting for candy and treats.” The event will be held Saturday, October 30th from 3pm to 5pm. Businesses and groups not located downtown can of course still participate. They will just set up their table and tents on Main Street and hand out their candy.
