The time of monsters and candy is fast approaching, as the excitement of Halloween builds. Locally there are many great spooky activities, perhaps most highly anticipated being the Hotel Vernal Haunt. This fundraiser for local non-profit charities has quickly become a crowd favorite for the Basin and is looking forward to dishing out scares for a good cause. But what about those who wish to participate and see the Lamplighter Hotel without the bonus of being terrified? On October 4th and 5th, for $5 dollars, visitors can tour this unique building and get a backstage pass to the efforts of all the volunteers that put together the Hotel Vernal Haunt. If you’re interested, come to the hotel between 4 and 7pm on Friday or Saturday.
