May 16th through the 22nd has officially been recognized as EMS Week, a time to honor the service and dedication of the nation’s EMS providers. This year’s theme is “This is EMS: Caring For Our Communities.” Locally, Ashley Regional Medical Center held an EMS/First Responder breakfast on Tuesday while Uintah Basin Healthcare celebrated EMS Week with a Kids Fair at Constitution Park. Gold Cross Ambulance is celebrating EMS Week 2021 tonight at the Vernal station and Gold Cross Director Scott Adams has a message with EMS Week in mind. “I just wanted to personally thank ALL EMS personnel serving in the Tri County Area, for all that you do,” shares Adams. “I know how hard you work to keep your EMS system up and running in a world that often doesn’t understand the struggles that EMS is going through. Again thank you for all that you do. I hope you have a great and safe EMS week.” Evans Family Media joins in thanking all EMS workers and first responders for the irreplaceable work done every day.
