It’s time for the 2021 Municipal Election and for residents of Duchesne County, that means the election will be administered by your respective City office rather than by the County. Municipal Elections take place on odd numbered years and are held to elect the Mayor and open City Council seats. Up for election in Roosevelt City is the Mayor and two 4-year term and one 2-year term City Council seats. Current Mayor JR Bird is on the ballot uncontested. Incumbent David Baird, incumbent Dustin White, and Beau Hancock are seeking a spot among the two 4-year City Council seats. Rowdy Cloward and Michael Oakes are seeking the single 2-year City Council seat. Elections for Duchesne City were cancelled due to there not being any challengers. As a result, the following will be sworn into office on January 4th: Rodney Rowley as Mayor and Danny Peatross and Jennifer Adams as City Council members. Learn more at Vote.Utah.gov.
