The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources conducts numerous investigations concerning the illegal killing of wildlife and are asking Utah citizens throughout the region for help. Conservation officers confirmed over 1,000 killed animals in 2020 with a value of over $387,000 dollars. Officers are asking the public for any information concerning a buck deer that was shot and left to waste in northern Utah. The deer was reported on November 26th after being dumped near Evanston, Wyoming. Upon investigation the deer was found on private property and was covered by a sheet of metal. It had been shot with a rifle and only the head removed. Those who have information about this case are asked to contact DWR Conservation Officer Brandon Olson at 801-541-3906.
