The Division of Wildlife Resources has a reminder for hunters. Remember to report your game harvest. “Reporting your hunt information is important,” shares DWR. “Harvest reports are a crucial tool so that we can maintain more comprehensive and quality harvest data, which in turn provides better insights into Utah’s big game hunts and populations over time. All big game species have mandatory reporting requirements — even if you didn’t harvest an animal.” Not completing your harvest report can affect your ability to hunt or get a bonus or preference point in the next year’s hunt drawing and results in a fee after the reporting window. Also, submitting teeth or other biological samples from your animal or having your animal checked by a DWR representative or CWMU operator does not fulfill your mandatory harvest reporting requirement. Complete your harvest survey online or call 800-221-0659.
