Hunting is more than a casual hobby for many in the Uintah Basin making staying up to date on the latest announcements a matter of importance. The Division of Wildlife Resources announced Monday that for those that didn’t draw a buck deer or bull elk permit during the hunt drawing, options to obtain a permit starting next week are limited. While permits have generally been available for purchase at DWR offices or from license agents, they no longer are. Beginning at 8am on July 16th, these permits will ONLY be sold online through the Division of Wildlife Resources website. An online queue will be used and the queue will open up on 8am on the respective sales days. “Permits are still available on a first-come, first-served basis, and your place when you enter the queue will determine the order in which you will be allowed to purchase one,” shares the DWR announcement. “You must have a valid hunting license or combination license to purchase a permit.” More details are available at wildlife.utah.gov.
