The likelihood of seeing bald eagles in northeastern Utah is increasing every day. According to the Division of Wildlife Resources, bald eagles fly to Utah in the winter to find food and escape colder conditions farther north and by the time February rolls around, hundreds of the birds are in the state. The Ouray National Wildlife Refuge in Randlett will be holding a bald eagle viewing day on February 24th, providing the perfect opportunity to spot a bald eagle or two. “If you have any challenges spotting the eagles,” shares event coordinator Matt Bartley, “our biologists and volunteers will help you find them. We’d also be happy to answer any questions you have.” For more information, call
