The Division of Wildlife Resources is making proposals for new big game hunts in 2019 including new hunts in the Book Cliffs of eastern Utah. The DWR reports that big game animals are doing well in Utah and in certain areas of the state, they are doing extremely well. Among the proposals to help manage the populations is to give hunters more chances to hunt with some new hunts in 2019. Relevant to the Uintah Basin is the proposal that new bison hunts be offered in the Book Cliffs of eastern Utah. It is also proposed to have new muzzleloader and archery pronghorn hunts in eastern Utah. Feedback is requested and welcome. The Regional Advisory Council for the Northeastern Region will meet at the DWR Northeastern Region Office in Vernal
