Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department Summer Safety Tips

by | Jun 11, 2024 | News | 0 comments

With summer officially here the Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department is sharing safety tips to remind citizens to take extra care this season. Safety tip number one is to look before you lock! Never leave a child or pet in a vehicle unattended for any length of time. Rolling windows down or parking in the shade does little to change the interior temperature of the vehicle. Make it a habit to check your entire vehicle — especially the back seat — before locking the doors and walking away. Safety tip number two has to do with wildfire safety. Keep tree limbs trimmed up to 10 feet from the ground. Keep several feet between tree branches and always trim branches that overhang your home, porch and deck. Keep plants, trees and branches at least 10 feet from your home. Catch all the safety tips that will be shared this summer by following the Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page.
