The Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department has a reminder for the public as the winter storms continue: everyone who has a fire hydrant on or near their property needs to clear it from snow and ice. “As the snow depth continues to increase, so do the seconds it takes for a firefighter to clear away the snow and ice from a fire hydrant,” shares the message. “Everyone will appreciate it when an emergency happens. Let’s all do our part to keep everyone safe!” Clear around the fire hydrant about 3 feet and be sure there is a path from the hydrant to the street.
