A Duchesne man was arrested after assaulting a family member when confronted about drug use. The man pushed the family member backwards with force while yelling obscenities. Damien Victor White admitted to officers that he had put his hands on the family member to move them out of his way. He was placed under arrest. He began to yell at the family member once more in an even more violent manner while kicking the back of the patrol vehicle. When his bedroom was checked, drugs and paraphernalia were located, including methamphetamine. Due to prior convictions in recent months, his charge of Assault was enhanced to a 3rd degree felony. He was also charged with misdemeanor drug charges. White was booked into Duchesne County Jail and was ordered to be held without bail.
