Duchesne County is doing their part to support the Watershed Protection and Forest Recovery Act. Duchesne County Community Development Director Mike Hyde presented to the Commissioners earlier this month about the Act and presented the Commission with a letter for their approval. The letter is written to Senator Mitt Romney urging his support of the Act as well. The Act aims to create a new program at the U.S. Department of Agriculture focused on watershed recovery on Forest Service lands as well as streamlining funding. Commissioner Miles made a motion to authorize that the letter be sent to Senator Romney and it was unanimously approved.
