What the next school year will look like is on the minds of many residents in the Uintah Basin. The Duchesne County School District recently released a statement in response to those asking what the district’s plans are for the 2020-2021 academic year. “The district is working closely with Tri-County Health, the State Health Department and the state school board to determine how schools will function in the fall,” shares their statement. “Our district task force is developing a COVID response plan that addresses how our schools will provide educational and extra-curricular services for all students based on the four color phases. As public health directives are continuously changing regarding COVID-19, we will continue to monitor the situation closely throughout the months of June and July and make adjustments to our fall implementation plan. An official statement by the district will be given in July, as to how we plan to operate schools when students return.”
