Union High School and other Roosevelt schools had an increased police presence last Wednesday as Roosevelt Police led an investigation into a threat of a possible gun being brought to school. Thankfully, there were no weapons found on school property and no credible active threat was discovered. Duchesne County School District shared on Monday that there was a continued investigation over fall break. The district will release an official statement of those results once pending law enforcement action is completed. The district assures parents that student safety and health is their top priority. There will be an increased law enforcement presence on campus as well as counselors that will be available to any student that might have concerns or anxieties about returning to school. Monday’s announcement also stated that they have appreciated all who have come forward with information related to the investigation.
