Duchesne County School District has several offerings coming up that the public needs to know about. First, English classes are being taught for Spanish speaking adults and teens 16 and older every Wednesday and Thursday evening. For more information, call 435-725-4514. Substitute Bus Driver and Aide training for Duchesne County School District is coming up November 4th through the 7th. Please note that you’ll need to be able to pass a background check, pass a drug test, and have a good driving record in order to be a bus driver. The training includes CDL bus driver endorsements as well as CPR and First Aid. Those interested are invited to call 435-725-4500. Finally, the Uintah Basin Community Matters Conference is being held November 11th at 6pm at the Roosevelt Jr. High Auditorium. The event is free for residents of the TriCounty area and includes a showing of the award-winning film, ‘Screen-Agers’, and will also welcome Thurl Bailey as the keynote speaker.
