With it being Teacher Appreciation Week it is appropriate that Duchesne County School District announced a very important annual award within the District as well as other awards. The district shared that on Tuesday, May 4th, Duchesne County School District was pleased to celebrate its Teachers and Classified Employees of the year from each school in the district. A special highlight was given for the Teacher of the Year award for the entire district, awarded to Sue Wood, Kindergarten teacher at Altamont Elementary School. “Sue Wood was born to teach kindergarten,” said AES Principal Lori Oman. “Her gift with those young children is incredible. It’s a pleasure to be in her classroom and her students love her.” Congratulations to Sue and all the wonderful teachers and classified employees!
