The Duchesne County Commission selected a bidder on a remodel project of the Duchesne County South building. Green River Construction bid $4.8 million dollars while BHI bid $3.7 million dollars. After reviewing the bids to ensure all required documents were received, the Commission approved the BHI bid. The group discussed how the project cost is higher than anticipated. ARPA funds are what have been set aside to fund the project and the County will apply for Revitalization funds as well. It was emphasized that the project will enhance the lives of the seniors in Duchesne County. Duchesne County Public Works Director Mike Casper also gave an update on several projects, sharing that Tower Road is nearly complete and they will also chip seal Ben Crowley’s Road, Ledge Lane, and Red Creek.
