Duchesne County Moves to Low Level of COVID-19 Transmission Index (4/29 – 5/5)

Duchesne County has been bumped down on the COVID-19 Transmission Index. As of April 29th, Duchesne County has moved from the moderate to low transmission level.  Uintah County remains at the moderate level and Daggett County remains at the low level. According to Thursday’s press release, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 2 percent and there were 50 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 2 percent and there were 16 cases, and Daggett County was 0 percent and there was 1 case. Over the past 7 days, the tri-county area as a whole had 11 COVID-19 related hospitalizations and 2 new COVID-19 related deaths. Statewide total ICU utilization was 70 percent and the 7-day COVID-19 utilization was 12 percent.
