A Duchesne County man is facing charges after marijuana plants were observed in his backyard and police investigated. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 76-year-old Danny Lee Cooper answered the door for officers and confirmed that the plants visible in the backyard were Marijuana. Cooper said he grew the plants for medicinal purposes and did give it to other people when asked. The backyard of the residence had 7 total marijuana plants growing and a search of the house revealed an entire room full of marijuana and processing equipment for use and distribution. Cooper is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Knowingly Producing/Dispensing/Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
