It goes without saying, the pandemic changed a lot of things. Now a year later some things are finally returning to normal and the Duchesne County Library: Roosevelt Branch is excited to announce some of their operations are among them. In a letter issued Monday, it was announced that library circulation has finally returned to normal. This means that: Circulation limits are restored to 15 items at a time; The returns quarantine has ended; All items may be returned at the front desk or in the drop boxes; Newspapers and magazines will be returned for browsing and don’t need to be quarantined; And donations may resume though no damaged, dirty, or outdated information items will be accepted. Curbside pick-up is still available if desired. The announcement further shares that “these changes are being made due to most of the vulnerable population in our community having the chance to be vaccinated for COVID as well as the library staff that desired to do so; the falling rates of COVID cases in our area; and the lack of evidence that COVID is transmitted while contagious on library materials worldwide.” In-person events in the community room are still not available and all are reminded to please not come to the library if you are ill.
