Duchesne County fire personnel and Duchesne County First Responders continue to show their dedication to continued training. Just last week, a group attended a Propane Emergencies class presented by the Utah State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Rocky Mountain Propane Association. “The class covered emergency response to different types of propane emergencies, the physical properties of propane, and dangers associated with emergency response,” shares the Duchesne Volunteer Fire Department. “The [Fire Marshal’s Office] brought several props to demonstrate propane behavior during emergency incidents including a propane tank with a cut-away side, working valves, and operational pressure relief system.” The group’s commitment to learning is obvious as training opportunities are provided and taken advantage of on a regular basis.
