The 2021 theme for the Duchesne County Fair is “Hometown Heroes” and Steve Dunsmore has been announced as the Hometown Hero 2021. “Born and raised in the Uintah Basin, Steve is a stellar example of tireless service to our community. He is a proven true patriot and a dedicated citizen of Duchesne County. Steve has donated thousands of hours in community service, volunteering with the Altamont Ambulance for over 25 years, proudly participating as a member of the American Legion, C.A.P Board & Upper Country Search & Rescue. Steve donated hundreds of hours to improving the Bluebell Cemetery…With the help of family and community, and with a couple of years of much needed growth, the cemetery was and still is a beautiful success. It also provided a place of opportunity for the youth to gain experience in volunteering, resulting in many of them being recognized for outstanding achievements.” Thanks to Steve Dunsmore on his selfless example and congratulations on being named a 2021 Hometown Hero.
