So many local events have been cancelled due to COVID-19 the Basin public might be wondering what is still happening. One event that some might assume is canceled is the Duchesne County Fair happening this week. Although the fair has been affected by the pandemic with the carnival, the talent show, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, and breakaway and team roping all cancelled, there are still plenty of activities moving forward. Just a sampling of activities include a petting zoo, Hypno Hick, Zombie Rampage, softball, the rodeo, parade, and Scales and Tails. “Duchesne County holds one of rural Utah’s most outstanding and successful Fairs,” shares Duchesne County Commissioner Irene Hansen. “The Duchesne County Fair is committed to old fashion family fun. It’s a place for finding old friends and making new ones and there is something for everyone from 4-H exhibits to beautiful animals to rodeos and great entertainment. Duchesne has it all!” Be sure to visit the Fair’s website at duchesnecountyfair.com to find the exact time and day of the events.
