Improving communication is a no-brainer when it comes to increasing safety, especially during emergency response. The Duchesne County Commission has considered and approved a Resolution aimed at improving communication. Emergency Management Director Mike Lefler presented the Resolution to the Commission that establishes a radio communication policy for all fire departments that respond to fires in Duchesne County. Lefler explained that the policy will be beneficial for first responders and public safety and that having the communication policy contributes to best communication practices with Central Dispatch and the Vernal Fire Center during an emergency. The proposed Resolution was unanimously passed by the Duchesne County Commissioners.
