The Uintah Basin is known for having a capricorn of holiday traditions that overflows our hearts with gratitude. One such tradition is the Duchesne County ENCHANTED FOREST. Last year’s event was a success with 21 trees raising $120,000 dollars for local charities. An additional $30,000 dollars were raised in tree sponsorships as well as another $10,000 dollars on the silent auction items. A ‘Story Hour with Santa’ as part of the event was also a success with 250 kids in attendance. This year they hope to continue that tradition of giving. This year’s Enchanted Forest will be held on Friday, November 22nd and Saturday, November 23rd at the Crossroads Senior Center. The event will feature the opportunity for people to admire the decorated Christmas Trees that are being bid on, unique gift baskets to also bid on, a two day bake sale, and family fun. The center opens at 12pm on Friday and runs until 7pm with some entertainment from 6pm to closing. Saturday goes from 10am to 3pm with a Story Hour at 10:30am. The little ones can also plan on seeing Santa from 11:45am to 1pm along with a free treat and book.
