Citizens of Duchesne County have an excellent opportunity approaching to learn more about the candidates running for the one open Commission seat for this year’s election. After years of dedicated service, Commissioner Irene Hansen is not running for reelection of her office that ends this year. 7 candidates from the community have gone through the process to put their names into the race and all 7 are planning to be at the same place at the same time. Each candidate has accepted an invitation to meet for a panel of a few questions next month. This is an opportunity to meet all 7 candidates in-person ahead of the county convention. The Commission Candidates Panel is taking place on April 10th at 6:30pm at the Roosevelt Branch Library with plans to discuss their platforms and answer a few questions. The library does not endorse any candidate and hosts the program for public information only.
