Duchesne County Agencies Offering Up to $10k to Local Businesses

In an effort to help small businesses, Duchesne County, Duchesne City, Roosevelt City, Town of Myton, Town of Tabiona, and Town of Altamont have partnered to pool the funds that they have received through the CARES Act. Those applying for Small Business Economic Recovery Grants can apply for amounts between $1,000 and $10,000 dollars. Businesses will need to meet the following criteria: They must be a registered business in Duchesne County or in one of the cities or towns listed. They must have an active business license as of April 1st, 2020. Exemptions may be made for home-based businesses that do not require a license. They must be a for-profit or not-for-profit business in good standing with the Utah Division of Corporations, must be current on property taxes through April 1st, 2020, have incurred a business loss from April 1st – June 30th as a result of COVID-19, have incurred business expenses from April-June 30th totaling at least the requested grant amount ($1,000-$10,000), have fewer than 500 employees, and must not be a publicly traded company. Exemptions may be made for franchises that are locally owned. Applications must be received no later then 5pn on Tuesday, August 31st. To access the grant application, visit www.duchesne.utah.gov
