The arts are well rooted in Duchesne City and that is largely thanks to the Duchesne Arts Council. The Council made a recent presentation to the Duchesne County Commission and the list of activities and events that took place in Duchesne in 2022 was truly impressive. From the Art Escape Paint Nights to the concerts featuring local musicians and singers, the Duchesne Arts Council provided enriching activities all year long. The Council collaborated with and supported local arts groups including the Music In Motion Children’s Choir, the Duchesne Community Orchestra, Mountain River Singers, and Duchesne High School Drama Department. During their presentation, the Council shared that among their 2023 goals, they plan to make the old bowling alley their new home and they thanked the Commission for the room the County has provided for their operation. The Duchesne Arts Council is funded by the Utah Legislature and the Utah Division of Arts & Museums 2021-2023 grant award.
