An investigation resulted in arrest last week after a tip came in to law enforcement of possible drug activity at a Uintah County home that was described as like a McDonald’s drive-thru where individuals would briefly go up to a cracked bedroom window, make contact, then leave. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, it was found the bedroom was where 35-year-old Monica Sue Searcy was staying while on felony probation with Adult Probation and Parole. A search of the bedroom found Searcy’s ID sitting on the dresser and evidence of Fentanyl use. When interviewed at Uintah County Jail, Searcy confirmed that she had been selling Fentanyl in order to supply her own addiction. Monica Searcy was booked into Uintah County Jail and is charged with 1st Degree Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree Felony Possession or Use of a Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Manufacture/Deliver Drug Paraphernalia. She has prior convictions on similar charges in 2024 and 2020.
