The driver of a vehicle found high centered in a field in Uintah County earlier this month is a repeat DUI offender. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a property owner called dispatch in the morning to report that a vehicle had gone through his fence, was high centered in his field, and the driver would not sit still and was acting weird. The officer arrived on scene and noted that a van was 200 to 300 feet off the roadway and the barbed wire fence was damaged right next to SR-45 near Mile Post 38. In speaking with officers, the driver admitted to having methamphetamine on him and said he had dozed off while driving. Officers noted that he was fidgeting uncontrollably and spoke extremely fast. The driver, 39-year-old Jeremiah Gordon, was transported to the hospital for a blood draw and he was arrested for drug and traffic offenses, as well as Driving Under The Influence. Gordon had been convicted of DUI less than a year ago in March of 2024.
