The driver in a vehicle accident in Vernal on Sunday has been charged with DUI. Vernal PD shared the following: On June 28th, a vehicle driven by Ty James Nez was traveling East on Main Street when the vehicle traveled off the Southside of the roadway striking a power pole and the building located at 716 East Main. With the assistance of witnesses, the driver of the vehicle was located. Nez was located and transported to the Ashley Regional Medical Center Emergency Room where he was treated. As a result of the investigation, Nez was charged with DUI, a Third Degree Felony, Driving on a Denied License, and Improper Lane Travel.
